The Scottish Society of San Antonio is a tax exempt educational/charitable organization (501c3) incorporated within the State of Texas in 1968, although the organization existed before that date. Its objectives are to stimulate, encourage, support, and sponsor activities leading to the preservation of Scottish customs, traditions, and culture. Membership is open to anyone of Scottish heritage or anyone interested in Scottish heritage who subscribes to the Society's objectives. There are two levels of membership:
-- Family ($15.00), which includes any children under the age of 18
-- Single ($10.00) for any individual 18 years or older |
The Society maintains a full Calendar of events throughout the year.
We also sponsor free Highland Dancing lessons for members and for members' children or grandchildren.
The newsletter of the Scottish Society is the Crann Tara, published monthly and mailed to all members.
We have available for order family crest shields. These are in full color on wood. Contact Mary Duncan at (210) 496-1205.
